Hello!
Feel free to learn a little about my story and my journey.
About me
I'm from Campinas-SP, where I was born and where I lived until I moved to São Paulo where I went to college. I am passionate about music, which has always been an important part of my life. Being of Japanese descent, throughout my life I had a very intense participation in cultural activities in the Japanese colony and I had a growing interest in social and psychological matters that were pertinent to the experience of so many people in the Japanese community inside and outside Japan.
I have a degree in Psychology from the Psychology Institute of the University of São Paulo (IP-USP). During college, I had the privilege of being a student and, later, an intern at the Laboratory of Studies in Existential Phenomenology at the University of São Paulo (LEFE-USP), where I had the opportunity to work in psychological care in several institutions, such as the Hospital University, the Legal Department of Faculdade São Francisco, among others. I also did an internship at the Marly Cury Association in São Paulo, accompanying children and adolescents in shelter situations and collaborating with institutional level interventions.
I lived in Japan for 4 and a half years, where I worked with children and adolescents, teaching Psychology, emotional education and music. During my time in Japan, I continued my work remotely as a psychologist, and soon found myself dedicated to caring for Brazilians living outside the country. I have experience in Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy for couples and individuals in Portuguese and English.
I completed a certification in Sexual and Emotional Education and Sexual Abuse Prevention with psychologist Leiliane Rocha, a specialist in Sexuality. Today, I dedicate my work to offering mental healthcare to people who had suffered sexual abuse and also spreading knowledge to parents, psychologists and other professionals who are willing to join the cause of child protection.
